Paul is Chair of CIM Midlands and has enjoyed a successful career encompassing senior marketing and commercial functions within in blue chip engineering and service industry companies. He is chief executive of Mycon Marketing Services Ltd, a global strategic marketing company specialising in customer value and engagement, marketing effectiveness, customer service quality and customer satisfaction.
Alongside his long standing CIM membership he has been active across other professional bodies and institutes including presidency, board level and regional representational roles in West Midlands Chambers of Commerce. This has enabled him to create and retain relationships across a wide range of business types, industries and government bodies both in the UK and overseas. He is currently a Board member of IETConnect and Birmingham City Council’s Employment & Skills Board.
Paul is also very active in academia holding a Masters Degrees with distinction in Marketing Management and a PhD for his research into Business-to-Business Customer Perceived Value Change. Since 1997 he has developed and lectured on postgraduate modules at five leading universities in the UK and overseas in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Poland as well as delivering postgraduate CIM qualifications for Oxford College of Marketing. He is currently module leader on the postgraduate modules of Strategic Marketing, Reputation & Relationship Management, International Trade, Collaborative Leadership for MSc students at the University of Warwick’s WMG faculty. Paul also is the module leader for Marketing, Sales and Reputation module for the Post Graduate Award in Innovative Business Leadership for SMEs.
